The Dock Factory

Amazing Company! I called in morning and Jim sent The team , Ken and Brandon! These Guys worked all day and made sure my dock and lift were perfection ! I can’t say enough wonderful things about them! I was so impressed by their work ethic! Do not hesitate hiring them for all your Dock/ lifts jobs.

DO NOT USE THE DOCK FACTORY. We contracted Jim for a deck, dock, and staircase. He was kind upon first meet and then continued to be incredibly hard to communicate with. Ultimately he delivered on the dock portion after a lot of badgering on a date for install. He then took the rest of our money from the 50% down payment and has been completely unresponsive since. We are currently out $3,300. Do NOT use this company for any work. Fully expect that any money you put down is going to be a donation to Jim Harper himself.

You definitely get what you pay for with The Dock Factory. The quality is unmatched compared to any other option we could find for our dock. We love how Jim takes an artistic approach to his docks and other structures. We had an idea of what we wanted and Jim had a vision that incorporated our natural landscape plus gave us some extra seating space. The dock was installed two weeks ago and we are already giving contact information for The Dock Factory to our neighbors after they have seen our new dock.

I have made a purchase on 3/11/2021 for a boat lift. I paid a 50% deposit on 3/11/21. The lift was supposed to be delivered on 4/10/2021. Jim called and explained it will be pushed out a week. I understood the issue. After the week went by Jim was very difficult to get a hold of. Jim had a lack of communication. Now as of 5/6/2021 Jim has not called me back to resolve the situation. I have made a paypal dispute to hopefully receive my $7400.00 deposit back. Jim has not shown any type of effort to try and resolve the situation. I would not recommend for anyone to deal with The Dock Factory unless you can go have a face to face conversation.

They installed a heavy duty wood dock for me 2 years ago. They came back and quoted some extended dock work and took a $2500 Deposit. They indicated install would be April 2022. I have tried repeatedly to call and email them. They took my money and ran. People like that don’t stay in business. Reputation and credibility are everything. Apparently, their values don’t include honesty and ethical behavior. Mary
