THE EGG Visitor's Parking Lot

Bad signage, confusing payment system, poorly lit, dirty, single lane egress takes forever to exit and the ceiling heights would make anyone evenly mildly claustrophobic reach for their beta blockers!

I regularly use this lot and was really frustrated 2 weeks ago when I found that they blocked off ALL of the accessible parking spaces. They did not provide any accessible parking options which is a violation of the ADA.

Convenient parking space for those visiting the Empire State Capitol. Easy access from I-787 and ample parking spots. Parking fee is $5 ($10 if you visit before 11 AM), which is refunded if you park for less than an hour. From here, there are stairs that lead to the capitol above ground.

Parking is $10. Parking is FREE for their annual 4th of July celebration. If you need to park for 90 minutes or less it's FREE. There are parking booth attendants if you have questions or need additional directions. State employees do not get a break on the parking. They have to pay what everybody else pays. They only except card payments. Cash will not be excepted! They have a few payment machines within the garage you can access.

It can fill up quickly at busy times, but you have no way of knowing that coming in. You might want to try and reserve parking to ensure a spot. Otherwise you'll be hunting around Albany for parking.
