The Floor Store

Had a good experience with The Floor Store. My new floor was installed properly by experienced, hygienic, and professional people. Floor Store installers were prompt, on time and respectful of my time. None of their employees smoked on my property, which was gratefully appreciated. Trim was cut well and installed correctly. Trim was correctly installed even in difficult areas in the kitchen. My floor looks good.

Walked into the floor store in San Carlos, CA with a special color of wood flooring I was searching for.Our salesperson Laurie DeJong was very knowledgeable and professional and gives us information on types of wood flooring available. She quickly gave us a reasonable quote and we accepted it then. We were kept updated on our specific install date and she made that happen. We got phase 1 installed yesterday by Francisco and another gentleman who in turn performed a beautiful installation of wood flooring and base boards, with several tricky cuts.Francisco and Victor we’re very knowledgeable, polite, neat and professional in their work. We walked in and were immediately greeted with the best possible customer service ever! Francine took great care of us and was extremely knowledgeable about every different type of flooring. It made what we’d thought would be an overwhelmingly tough decision, much easier to narrow down. We will definitely be back!

UPDATE May 26, 2022: after several weeks (and some further lies) the flooring was ultimately completed. Updating review to 3 stars since at the end of the day they did eventually install very nice flooring that seems like it is going to last for a long time. But not 4 or 5 stars since we had to go several months with a yawning open pit in our house that (thank god!) nobody fell down due to pretty gross incompetence in communication and coordination and escalation to regional management that only happened after we started posting grouchy reviews. UPDATE April 18, 2022: Updating my prior 2 star review to a 1 star review ~3 weeks later. After my prior review on April 2nd, the regional manager called me and assured us they'd promptly get things sorted out and a final install completed timely.

It happened again! For the second time in five years the "Made in China" LVP flooring The Floor Store sold me turned blue. Unbelievable! BTW These aren't the same photos, these are photos of the newer flooring along side photos of the first flooring. The first LVP flooring that turned blue, see my previous review, was made by COREtec a Shaw company. The second LVP flooring is made by ScratchMaster, a totally different manufacturer. What these two companies have in common I later found out is it's made in China. It's either a made in China problem or they're selling factory seconds at full price? Again I reported the problem with The Floor Store manager and was told she would contact the ScratchMaster sales rep. Not surprisingly, the store manager didn't return my voicemails or emails after
