The Great Escape Joliet

Bought a patio set several years ago. Used it literally maybe 5 times. We decided to buy from Great Escape thinking that even though their prices are crazy high, that it would be quality and durable pieces since nowadays there are many buying options like Home Depot, Amazon, etc.. out there at much lower prices. Not at all. Look at the pictures... and not to mention, when I first got them, I got convinced to buy their warranty, big mistake. A leg fell apart on one piece. I called the warranty place they contract through and it was nothing but crap. Made you go through 100 hurdles just to get something repaired and in the end, NOTHING WAS DONE OR FIXED. They make you feel like you have to do so much that you simply say forget about it. This company is just simply overpriced and not worth it

I love The Great Escape, and it has been my "go to" place for years. I have never had a bad experience there, and the employees are kind, and helpful. I have known Gus for many years, and he has never steered me wrong! I purchased my first patio set through Gus in 1997, and to this day, it has withstood constant use, and is still being used, and remains in great shape. Recently, I needed to get furniture for under a new gazebo, and Gus recommended the most perfect set for me. I could not be happier. He is the epitome of honesty, knowledge, professionalism, kindness, has a great sense of humor and is an outstanding spokesman for The Great Escape. Thank-you, Gus for another great purchase! I have recommended him to family and friends, and highly recommend The Great Escape!

My wife took me out for my birthday to buy a pool table. Cathy helped us out and she was excellent. 6/5.

Tony and the crew at the great escape are awesome. He set me up with exactly what I need ed and nothing I din’t. He even gave me his personal cell for pool questions. A&J Recreational does the pool installation and they’ve been doing it forever. They know what they’re doing. Just keep in mind there’s going to be some additional cost to haul away dirt and sink the pool further than the included few inches (if that’s something you want/need). My pool was dropped down about 30” and the extra cost for that and hauling away the dirt was around 3K. Overall great experience.

I highly recommend buying a pool from the Great Escape Joliet. Gus helped us pick out our Tri-Vector Series pool in 2020 and we love it! Since we had never owned a pool before, we had a lot of questions and concerns. He has been so helpful and continues to be available and knowledgeable- even 4 years later. He really cares about his customers. All the staff, especially Mark has also helped us with maintenance questions. They made buying and maintaining a pool less stressful than I expected!
