The Home Depot

This was an alright Home Depot, as the store was very clean, the one associate I interacted with was nice and helpful, and I got in and out pretty quickly. However, I personally think that Home Depot, in general, lags behind Lowe's in a number of key areas, mainly customer service and especially the garden center. Now, I am admittedly not a contractor or experienced in construction, but I think Lowe's does a better job at mastering the overall customer experience.

Rented a cargo van yesterday and it was horrible. Opened the door and it smelled like someone LIVED in and smoked three packs a day. I assume that Home Depot doesnt have or use OdoBan to clean their vehicles. Thenn whomever rented it previously was living there because BREAKFAST oats were EVERYWHERE. I drove with the windows down and heat on the whole trip. And whyyy do the representatives NOT walk the customer around the vehicle at PICKUP time, but go out and “assess” damages afterwards. How do WE know what youve assessed when you dont even provide paperwork of pre-assessed damaged??

I would like to give the gentleman who came to help me from a different section when the self checkout lady was slacking a big thanks! 5 stars for him and his attitude! I went in to purchase a gift card. I was told they were at self checkout. So when I went over there one lady was working the 4 registers. I watched her yell for the same man I’m praising to help another customer (and yes I mean yell for this poor man). Then comes my turn in line to check out I ask the lady how to pay for a gift card and she’s like “well you have to scan it” takes my gift card, opens it to scan I guess, and walks away to help another person at self checkout. I had to let 3 people checkout in front of me because she was just holding my gift card hostage. That’s when I lock eyes with the very nice gentleman ag

Made appointment, drive an hour to get there only to find out the guy has to leave without reaching out to reschedule. On to of that, the "free" kitchen design must first have an in-home measurement prior to a in store design appointment. So, whether the design guy was there or not, the appointment would have been a waste.
