I had an extremely unprofessional experience attempting to obtain a store credit for a gift. The manager and employee cited a “store policy” that was presented as an 8x11 sheet of paper printed and taped to the register. Despite this, they were able to run the item through the system and tell us the store credit amount would be $179 — only to then deny it, citing “discretion.” Discretion, by definition, implies a choice. If the decision is actually driven by an internal system or algorithm (especially for cash purchases), that should be stated clearly. Presenting a loosely posted piece of paper as formal policy, then switching to “discretion” after providing a credit amount, is inconsistent and misleading. Good store, never that busy it seems, but I go there in the evening typically. On this visit I was in an "immediate need" situation due to repairing my vehicle at home and half way though realizing that I desperately needed a, metric ratcheting box wrench. Home depot had exactly what I was needing, and new bolts in metric as well. Worked out great. Tonight was a very typical HoDe visit for me, where I need a "whatever" on super short notice if I hope to fix the "whatever". Home Depot is good like that.

The man in the rental department is vulgar, rude, and disrespectful. Told me he wouldn’t help me with my rental reservation, said the equipment is not cleaned off from the snow and he wouldn’t be cleaning it off but that we could still come pick it up but if it doesn’t work it’s not his fault and we still will be charged. However, he wouldn’t help me with cancelling my rental? Worst customer service. If you don’t want to talk or help people, maybe find a new job? Also swears WAY too much.

I had recently changed my phone number, they couldn't make adjustments to accomplish what I wanted. So another corporation with the inability to adjust to customer needs. My iphone and Mac that were brand new crashed and burned. So I went back to an android phone. The apple problem is another whole a whole other nightmare horrible service and product nowadays. Different situation and company of course.

I bought 5 pressure treated 4 x 2 x 8 lumber and a 4 x 8 sheet of pressure treated at the Portsmouth NH location. Being a female i needed help loading it into the cart. The staff that helped were females.. APPLAUSE 👏 👏. ALSO I needed help loading that wood into my truck. The Lot personal was more than willing to help me. So thankful
