The Home Depot

I luv the home depot. I satisfy most of my garden and project needs there. Store is well organized and the staff are pleasant and knowledgeable! I buy most of my plants and soil there. Holiday times are well stocked with decorating ideas. I like the expertise of the area attendants. I can always flow their recommendations.

Typical home depot. I will add that a majority of the employees I saw or spoke with are retired men. Many did know what I was speaking about when I asked where to find some items. Sometimes I was asking about simple things like L brackets yet they didn't know what It was. I also believe that all home depots are reducing the number of items available and the prices have increased. For example they no longer carry multy grade packs of sandpaper. They only offer 1 grit for "contractors pack" and it's not that large of a pack.

I’m going to start by saying, use Home Depot’s delivery service at your own risk. About a month ago I bought a stove and refrigerator and used their delivery service. It took 5 delivery attempts for them to get it right. Attempt #1 My stove arrived with side all dented in and refrigerator didn’t even work. They refunded $100 for stove and would pick up defective refrigerator and bring new one following wk. Attempt #2 They showed up stating they could p/u bad fridge but the new one wasn’t in yet so they would bring it following wk. Attempt #3 The delivery guys couldn’t speak English so couldn’t understand me as to where to put it, AND JUST LEFT. Attempt #4, service gave a window of 11-1 but showed up at 8am,(I work & the agreed time was 11) again w/o warning they just left. When I called I

Disaster! Ordered a grill, knowing I only had a three day window I chose the one they said was in stock, that was last Monday. After flying down to Fl I sat for two days in the house by the phone for delivery. After many phone calls letting me know it would be there shortly I waited and waited. Finally took a taxi over to Home Depot, 30 min away, to find out where my 2 day late delivery was and got no more information than maybe tomorrow between 8 am and 8pm. Disaster customer service. Wish I had not chosen to believe there lies of being able to deliver on time or even a day late.Avoid or use at your own peril.
