I had home depot out a few times to quote carpet for my home. First Visit was in September 19, 2025. I had them out to measure me ENTIRE 2nd floor. this includes my master bedroom, hall way, stair case, AND daughters bedroom along with 3 closets. The original Quote was $2520.80. Mind you this quote was to include, carpet removal and furniture removal and replacement. On October 1st, i received a redone quote for the exact same work for $3,925.66. No change for this job at all just a massive price increase. I called and asked how the price more than double and they told me that the price of materials was the change. thats incorrect and outrageous. I am a contractor myself and materials dont just double. They help us to actually run our business and I have to say that the folks there are on point if you’re a professional looking for some good support, Hilary and Colton are fantastic at directing their team and what to do to get things done in a timely manner to keep things moving forward. I want to thank the paint 🎨 department about my second trip to buy the red paint because I was only going to buy 3 quart of the red. At first I was only going to paint the ceiling. One of the employees 👏 pointed out that if I did buy a gallon that I'd save quit a bit of money 💰. I was looking at it from the prospective of not wanting to have extra red paid left over. As it turns out 😀.... I decided to paint 🎨 the wall,too! So, thanks for the great advice because I used every last drop and saved money. Stopped by Home Depot in Westfield today and had a great experience thanks to Olivia. We needed help finding a product, and while she wasn’t immediately sure where it was, she took the initiative to figure it out and then personally walked us right to the exact spot. Her attentiveness, problem-solving, and willingness to go the extra mile made our visit smooth and hassle-free. It’s always great to encounter employees who genuinely care about helping customers, and Olivia did just that. The checkout experience was also fantastic—though I didn’t catch the name of the person who helped, it was great having someone staffed at a register.
