The Hot Spot Studio North Dallas | Pottery Painting

We visited the studio today and had a wonderful time! My daughter did slime and the garden pot project and I did the make your own candle. The employees were so friendly and helpful. I have a feeling we will be regulars as we both had a wonderful time! Prices are very reasonable for whats included in each project, hoping to plan a birthday party there this summer!

Of all the crafts to choose from, my daughters chose to make mosaics where you paint a wooden shape and decorate it with gems. One picked the butterfly and the other picked the cupcake. They absolutely loved it and are already asking to come back! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and willing to work one-on-one with my daughters to achieve the mosaic they wanted. There was zero pressure to rush, allowing me to relax and simply appreciate the experience. We had a wonderful experience at Hot Spot Studio in McKinney. My daughter, a friend, and I stopped in without a reservation while we were waiting to head to the airport, and it ended up being the perfect activity. We each worked on different projects — mosaics and painted pottery — and the staff gave us just the right amount of guidance to get started while still letting us relax and enjoy the time together. The owners are very knowledgeable about the materials and made sure we had everything we needed, even helping us secure our mosaics so they traveled home safely. The studio is welcoming, creative, and a great change of pace from typical coffee or lunch spots. It’s perfect for groups, families, or just a casual creative outing. We had such a wonderful experience at Hot Spot Studio. It was a truly relaxing afternoon and a rare chance for us to just unplug and spend quality time together as a family. We painted four different pieces: my wife and 9-year-old daughter painted bunnies to look exactly like our real-life pets, my 11-year-old son did a pineapple, and I painted an old pickup truck. The atmosphere was so calm, and the staff made everything easy for us. It’s a great feeling to walk out of a place having made a real memory together. We highly recommend it to any family looking for a creative and peaceful way to bond!
