Thermaseal / Lakeside

Very good experience with Thermaseal. They did spray foam insulation in my attic. Clear communication, fast work, and a huge difference in temperature. Some of the earlier reviews mention communication and timeliness issues. We primarily worked with Chris and had no problems there. There would have been a fee to pay by credit card, but there were multiple payment options that did not have fees.

I hate surprise costs and extra fees. Credit Card fee announced after the fact, when I paid my bill. After I told our salesperson twice I would be paying with Credit Card. Not a good way to do business. Why should customers have to pay the companies cost of owning a company. I was told 11:00 arrival they showed up at 7:45am, I still had 1 hour of work emptying the Attic to do. Finished work was good, install Team polite and hard working. When I asked for a quote I told the salesperson it needed to include all fees and we were paying with credit card. . When we received the quote there was a total and no mention of credit card fees. When I got my bill and promptly went to pay it with a credit card tgey said there is a 3% fee. When I discussed it with them they basically said "sorry we

Really really disappointed with my recent experience with Thermaseal / Lakeside Insulation. I used them several years ago for a crawlspace insulation job and was happy with the work. I reached back out to them to redo the same work because some construction work damaged the insulation they installed. This experience was completely different even though I was working with the same contact (Bill). There was nothing but broken promises from the moment I reached them. Started with call backs, continued with onsite estimate meeting and continued with the failure to ever deliver the estimate. There must have been 5 or 6 times that Bill said he would call, or show up, or provide the estimate and each time it never happened. Ultimately, he just ghosted me and stopped responding. I had a very good experience with Brad Meyer and with my on site project crew Carlos and Roberto. My attic had serious issues from squirrels, mice and racoons. Carlos and Roberto cleaned out my entire attic and replaced all the insulation. Carlos kept my house clean and the outside of my house clean. Like others I also had communication issues with Bill on schedule and equipment failures. I would recommend Thermaseal so long as you work closely with Brad and Bill on schedule. I would also ask for Carlos to perform my work.

Wow! The two man crew that installed vents and more insulation in my attic did a great job. Plus the cost was very reasonable for the amount of time spent, the blow in insulation, and the vents that were installed. I should also mention that the sales rep. that represented TSLS was very professional and highly experienced. He gave me good advice and a fair price. I highly recommend ThermaSeal/Lakeside, Cary, IL
