They charge $50 for a estimate. Estimates are not free so I cancelled the appointment when I was told this. After cancelation of appointment they harassed called me to reschedule. When I cancelled I said I would call back later to reschedule if I wanted to, obviously if I don't. I don't. I worked in customer service and in the medical field, you never call a person back about rescheduling more than once and only need to leave 1 voicemail otherwise you are harassing unprofessional type. That's in any business.

I contacted this company for a quote to install a new home EV charger. They were the first to respond and scheduled a visit quickly, which I appreciated. I was told there would be a $50 quote fee—something I found odd for this type of service, but I agreed. Lesson learned for future projects. The technician arrived on time and assessed the setup. I was told my 200 amp panel was “ancient” and couldn’t support an EV charger—despite the fact that I’ve been charging my EV at home for nearly a decade using a repurposed dryer outlet with no issues. I have so many compliments to say about this company that I hope I don't run out of space. This company is one of the finest I have ever dealt with and with every step of the process they kept you informed and initially they evaluated what we needed and provided a detailed estimate. They actually suggested something we never heard of, and we chose their method, and we are so pleased we did. TLDR; I wish I had seen Steve Zimmerman's review below. Our breaker box died a month ago on a sunday, and Thomas Edison was the first company that could respond. I found plenty of decent reviews for them on google, yelp, and the BBB so at the time I figured their $8K+ quote to replace the box was reasonable, accounting for emergency response. Their work failed to pass inspection (some sort of overheating connector between the breaker and the meter), and they quoted me an additional ~$2100 to make things right. At that point I cut ties, took this experience as an expensive lesson caused by panic and naivete on my part, then had another company repair the faulty connector for a tenth of the price.
