Thomas Furniture Restoration

I've been struggling on whether to write this review for a year because Bob is a very nice, kind man and I never had any doubts about him as a person. I was recommended Bob by the foreman of a crew that had done amazing work on our house. We needed to have our stairs refinished and a butcher block pass through made for our kitchen. His quotes were somewhat high but based on the recommendation we thought the work would speak for itself. Within a day's work I was skeptical, he did a minimal amount of sanding on the stairs themselves, and then used the paint we were using for color as the primer for the stairs. The molding of the stairs was freshly painted by another crew and looking amazing, which only lasted until Bob flecked it with blue and made it worse trying to paint over it by smear

Missed committed delivery date by a week and then had to make a second trip to deliver the parts they forgot to bring for installation (drawers and shelves). It gets worse. As I inspected the installation, the cabinets are installed crooked. They are not vertical and some are tilted away from the wall. They will all need to be straightened. A plumbing leak developed during the installation (coincidence?, I doubt it) and now needs to be repaired. As a result of the installation, my countertop is sloped and pulled away from the wall. Pictures will show you the details. I don't understand how this business ever got a 5 star review. Just look at the results in my home.

Bob Thomas and his crew were incredible with amazing craftsmanship to refinish our wood cabinets. Creative ideas and solutions with even recreating cabinet doors that matched the existing profile of our cabinets! As a property claim adjuster, I have seen more than my share of lackluster work. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the finished project and the most considerate responsiveness by Thomas furniture restoration!

I've known Bob for 30 years he has done exceptional work
