Thornton Oil Co

The last 2 shipments I got I received a phone call from the driver right before his arrival stating if I didn't have someone here to pull his hose up my yard he would not be delivering my oil. The last time I was alone so he said he wasn't coming. Luckily my neighbor pulled in right after and offered to help, So I called him back and did get my oil. When news came of that last storm we were getting I called Thorton at 9 am and ordered 100 gallons. I was told then they would make a delivery in a day or two. At 3 pm as I was just getting to work I got a phone call from the owner stating they would no longer be delivering here for at least a week and a half. I canceled the delivery as I knew I would run out long before then. Yesterday I called at 9am when Thorton opened and placed another or

Bad experience. The driver would call shortly before arrival and insist someone be there. I work so if I couldn’t be there he wouldn’t show. The last attempt he slid off of my driveway and then left after being towed. The company sent me a letter letting me know that they paid $300 for the towing. After being left without heat for 3 days and having to have my landscaping redone that spring I would gladly have traded them bills.

Loyal customer for life! 20 some Years ago I became a single mom of 2 and winter hit. I made call after call but No one would bring me oil without me having payment upon delivery. Mr Thorton overheard me telling a coworker and spoke up and said “ what’s your address? You can pay me when you get it! “ I went home that day and sure enough we had heat. I made payments until i was paid in full and I have never gotten my heating oil anywhere else since!!’ I’ll always be grateful.

I had run completely out of oil and they delivered to me the very next morning. They billed me and let me pay when I got paid. They are always willing to work with you and very understanding! Also, I believe they are the only company that will deliver the minimum of 100 gal. Every other place, has a pretty high minimum of what they will deliver.

I have been a customer of Thornton Oil for approximately 15 years. Staff have always been courteous and prompt. Never had a problem and highly recommended them. Thanks
