I had the pleasure of meeting and ultimately working with Elder, the owner of Thunder Jersey Masonry when I was getting estimates for my front steps. He was extremely thorough when inspecting my front steps, and then explained to me what was going to be involved with replacing them. I did have a total of 5 estimates before finally deciding to go with Elder and Thunder Jersey. I had companies give me higher estimates and lower estimates than his, BUT there was something about how Elder explained what was going to be involved with the work that was required for a job like this...and because of how knowledgeable and thorough I found him to be, I felt 100% confident in hiring Thunder Jersey Masonry to do this job! New project Spring 2025: Elder and his crew did a BEAUTIFUL job building our fireplace! Their attention to detail on the corners made all the difference to give it such a finished look. Thunder Masonry did an amazing job building our garden wall! They helped with picking rock that would match our existing patio and the install was without issue. All of them were very kind and knowledgeable— we’re already looking forward to using them for a future patio we’re hoping to put in. I have been recommending them to friends and had to leave a review here too (I should’ve taken pics sooner, the wintry plants don’t lend to the stunning wall).

Elder and his crew of guys are true craftsmen. They are diligent, have pride in their work and want an amazing result for you. I had a portion of my yard I started digging out for pavers and realized I was in over my head. Elder and all his recommendations were great, his pricing is reasonable and he shows when he says he will. I had a small section of the pavers pooling water and Elder had his guy's fix it, no questions asked. He stands by his work and doesn't want any call backs. They also hid my drain downspouts and were able to reuse old pavers I had for my border. I will definitely be using him again when I move my attention to the front of the house. Elder and his crew are amazing! They went above and beyond replacing my patio from old concrete to paver stones. They came early and worked long days to make sure everything was perfect. Call Elder right away and you won’t be disappointed.

I cannot speak highly enough of Elder and his crews. Super professional, showed up and completed the jobs in a very timely manner. Excellent communication. I had Elder do 2 projects, none of which were easy during a really cold snap, but Elder and his crew prevailed. The first was to excavate and built 9 piers in my crawlspace which is only about 3 feet high. They had to repeatedly carry in materials and water to accomplish this. The second was to build 9 footings for my deck. Elder constantly monitored the weather and temperature so he could jump on the job as soon as the weather permitted.
