Top Gun Heating & AC Repair

Trusting people you don’t know to come into your house and fix a problem can be frustrating. I live in a two story house having AC troubles so friends recommended Top Gun. They came in August and September last year. Did a wonderful job, they were kind, respectful and hard workers. Then came more trouble when the downstairs unit went out. Had to get 2 new units last year, “ouch”. Same guys came to install, again, kind, hard workers and it helps when they they’re cute”. Top Gun Rocks! Thank you all so very much. Came back from Thanksgiving holiday only to discover our furnace was not working properly. I contacted Top Gun the next day and they were able to get a tech out the same afternoon. We have used them for bi-annual maintenance on our HVAC system so we trusted them. Upon inspection of the unit, it was determined the EMC (blower motor) had gone bad. Our options were to replace the part (which was under warranty). But then the tech informed he had no idea how long it could take to get the part from manufacturer (Carrier). It could be days, maybe a couple of weeks. He did not even offer to call to check. It is supposedly a $4600 part, and it was going to be $2300 automatically for labor to install the new part when we could get it. They just automatically make it ½ of the cost of the part w

I just had a good experience with Top Gun - we had AC failures and we needed two heat pumps ASAP. Scott was great and worked with our limited budget until we settled on two high SEER units that qualify for the fed tax credit. UPDATE - March 2025: We found out over this past winter that Top Gun connected the wires from the two new heat pumps to the thermostats incorrectly and we had no aux back-up heat on our heat pumps. Kudos to John who got us fixed up and working correctly in a timely fashion. We think this is a stand-up company who we now can say has great a great service team. I have to rate them at 5 stars for their response to make things right.

We received multiple quotes for a brand new HVAC and ductwork from local companies in the Fort Worth area. When David and Mike came out to give a quote, they spent nearly 2 hours breaking everything down and helping us to understand what was needed and evaluate what would be the best option for us. Means a lot for a company to invest so much time when you were making such a huge purchase. The other folks who came out to give us quotes definitely didn’t engage with us like David and Mike did. We ultimately chose to go with Top Gun and I am beyond thrilled that we made that choice. Literally the day after we said “Go” they had their crews at our house and knocked everything out in one day. Every single person that worked this job was an employee of Top Gun and was so polite and professional.

They don't have the $99 club anymore for AC- (two free visits & one repair call per year and other perks). Now it's $25 a month and includes electrical and plumbing. I have plumbers & electricians already- just need Top Gun for AC. I'd rather pay $100 to $175 annual up front and be covered.
