Historically, Petro was not on my list of companies I wanted to do business with. I was baited with a new customer incentive and fell for it, turned out their service as part of the package, and problem resolution fell way short of expectation. However- when desperate times call for desperate measures you bite the bullet. I found my tank had a slow leak. I called Petro and although I had cancelled my account, they were able to open up a service only account and come out to service the leak in just a few hours time. I called at 830 am and had a tech on site by 10:15 and Walter (tech 242) even called to inform me he was on his way. Upon showing up he had a mask on and followed SD protocol. I made an online payment, when the website brought me back to the homepage it said the payment hadn’t gone through so I made another one. Almost right away it took both payments out of my account, I called and the customer service rep was very nice. He told me I should receive a refund in 10 business days back on to my debit card, cool. So I call 10 days later, since I hadn’t received anything. Again, customer service rep very nice. She told me 3-5 more days and I’ll receive a refund in my debit card. Well, I called this morning because I still hadn’t received anything. The rep was nice and told me a paper check had been issued and that I wouldn’t receive anything until the end of this month. Had no other answer for me except that, I was getting a paper check and it would be 2 more weeks b

Customer service is atrocious. I had a lower credit score then what was required to set up an auto fill account. Later, needed my tank filled they refused to come out with my auto pay payment in place because my bill needed to be paid before they came and I refused to pay early. 2 months prior the same situation occurred, I made my payment early and they still took out my auto payment. This time, I asked the customer service rep to run my credit again, because my score was no longer low. He blew me off, told me that what they had wasn't high enough and my bank FICO report, credit karma and the other credit managing sites are not accurate. Our furnace went out late last night, so we called all our regular HVAC guys this morning but no one was available to come out immediately. It was already down to 54°, so we needed someone asap. We called our oil company and they were able to reach out to Petro and have them send out a tech immediately. The tech Walter Haley tech #242 was great! He was friendly and efficient. Had the furnace up and working within the hour. We would definitely call them again for emergency services.

The first year everything was good, 2nd year not so much. They keep changing my ceil price for fuel for my year contract and had to call a few times to get a copy for my records. Well the last time I called to get a copy I had enough and canceled with them. They also don’t listen to there customers requests. I had over a half tank of oil left and asked them to push out my delivery a month or so and then 5 days later they came and delivered oil. I know a few other customers who have canceled with them due to the same delivery issues. There are plenty of oil delivery companies out there and good ones so do yourself a favor and don’t use rochette/Petro
