A huge shout out to Tragar. Today Long Island was hit by a Noreaster and of course our heat stopped working. We're expecting a week of sub 30 degree weather, so I was concerned. No hot water and no heat. Who knows could happen. Once I noticed the problem I immediately called Tragar, my oil and AC company. The service operator was friendly, considerate, and genuinely seemed concerned for us. She put in for an emergency service. I was thinking hours, possibly days before they'd show. Surprisingly, I received a text from the repair expert Justin within the hour. He drove through un plowed roads and when he showed up, he thanked me because our house the the only one that was shoveled. He was friendly and immediately got to work diagnosing the problem. I wanted to take a moment to say how grateful I am for the incredible service I received from Trager—especially from Steve c I’ll be honest: I know nothing about boilers, and as a woman homeowner facing an old unit that was starting to feel unsafe, I was genuinely worried I’d make the wrong decision. Choosing Trager turned out to be exactly the right call. Steve went above and beyond from the very beginning. He patiently explained how to reset my old boiler (something I didn’t even know existed), and he was thoughtful enough to send technicians to my home to make sure I would be safe through the weekend until my new unit could be installed on Monday. Outstanding Service from Carlos Ordonez at Tragar. Carlos provided truly exceptional service. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he was focused on getting to the root of the problem, not rushing through the appointment. He took his time to thoroughly diagnose why the heat was turning on and off, ran all the proper checks and balances on the oil boiler, and made sure nothing was overlooked. Not only did he fix the issue, but he clearly explained what caused it, why it happened, and how to prevent it from happening again, which was especially reassuring with another snowstorm approaching.
