Trefler's

I had them examine and repair a small drop-leaf wooden kitchen table I've had for probably 30 years. From my initial phone call, to the item's diagnosis and estimate, to the return of my table, they were all very professional and treated me like a valued customer. It took a very reasonable amount of time for the repair, and I was kept informed throughout the process. The delivery staff even showed me how I could remedy the problem with the right tool if it ever happened again. I was so happy to have found Trefler's since I had a problem even getting a return phone call from two other repair shops. I highly recommend Trefler's and would not hesitate to entrust my furniture repairs to them in the future.

They fixed my parent's Nativity set beautifully. After a shipping problem (mom didn't pack them well), nearly all the pieces arrived broken and chipped and damaged. They restored them so beautifully. This set has no commercial value, but a lot of sentimental value, and they treated me with the same respect as they would a client with a valuable antique. It took a few months and it wasn't cheap but the repair was done beautifully and I'm extremely happy.

Sadly, I met the Trefler & Sons crew due to a teeny tiny accident that left a Waterford goblet with immeasurable sentimental value chipped. Rebecca, David, and Paul (all VPs) took the time to reach out and help me from the time I contacted them for a quote until they time they received my package. What I think I appreciate most is that Rebecca took the time to personally email me to let me know that the cost to repair the goblet is more than the cost of a new one. She then pointed me to the exact pattern I could search for and order... I was astounded. I think it says a lot about a company that they would point you in a direction that may take business away from them in the name of doing the right thing. Trefler's is a treasure. During Covid, they helped restore and reframe my father's oil paintings. I called the MFA to find the right folks for the task and they sent me to Trefler's, a Boston institution for over a century. I couldn't be happier with the results, the process, the education I received, or the people.

Splendid work. Prices are very reasonable. Nice, helpful staff that are expert. Trefflers restorations are miraculous. Love them!
