My home was built circa 1986 and I bought it in 2017. I believe the deck was original to the house and was on its last legs. Rather than continue with the expensive maintenance of a painted wood deck, I opted to re-do the deck using Trex flooring and vinyl railings so I can just wash it once or twice a year. Based on my research, TrueDecks offered a fair price and had the experience, photos and reviews to assure I'd get good service and product. Our project manager was Fernando - he visited us for the estimate and answered all our questions, and provided lots of samples of the materials. Fernando assured us if there was a minor cost overrun, we would not be responsible for the extra charge, and he was as good as his word.
