TruGreen Lawn Care

Experiencing horrible grub damage due to inadequate applications. Waiting to see how TruGreen will respond & rectify this serious problem. I've been utilizing their service for years so it wasn't a result of neglect or another company's service. FOLLOW UP: I received a call from corporate quickly after this review and I was pleasantly surprised as to how they handled rectifying my issue. They sent a tech out the next day to confirm the grub damage and discussed with me as to how they'd like to correct the problem. Coordinating around expected rainfall, grub treatment, fertilizer, aeration and over-seeding were performed free of charge. We won't know until next spring as to how this works out, but I'm truly impressed with their response & effort to satisfy my lawn issues. My thanks to Sand

I paid for six fertilizer treatments, but after two visits I learned that no fertilizer had ever been applied to my lawn. I only found out because my grass looked no different, so I called the company. Their own representative confirmed fertilizer was never applied, even though my property was not flagged for heat restrictions. I have sprinklers that water twice a day, so water was not the issue. The first time fertilizer was actually applied was on August 15, and only because I specifically requested it...again. This is unacceptable service. I paid for a treatment plan and did not receive what I was promised. Spraying everything except the fertilizer is not what I hired them for.

I hired trufor first time in early 2024 ..I called them because the crabgrass was out of control. Trugreen came and killed everything but the crabgrass. I followed a formal complaint and trugreen took full responsibility for the bad job and committed to fix it for free. Today April 8 2025 was my first complementary free visit to start the process to recover my lawn as it was before the incident. This is a scam of a company. The scheduling communication is an issue every time. I paid for the whole season of fertilizer, weed treatment, grub treatment, and aeration with seeding. So far, every time they have come out, they have said either fertilizer isn't needed or that the weed treatment cant go on because of weather. They will then indicate either that I declines those services when I didn't or they will indicate that they did them anyway when they didn't. In addition to this, the grub treatment they first applied did not work (if they even applied it as they said they did). The person applying barely walked around the yard haphazardly spraying sporadically. When I called to schedule a retreatment, they schedule a date. We have been using TruGreen for decades and they have helped us maintain a rich, lush, disease-free lawn. Over the last two to three years, this is no longer the case; we have spent at least $4,000 with them since 2018 through this current year and over the last few years, they were unable to get the crabgrass, dandelions, and Nutgrass (Nutsedge) under control; this is the absolute worst this lawn has EVER looked in the last 40+ years, NOT to mention, the chemical burning of the lawn. In addition to what I just stated, we have an underground sprinkler system to help maintain a healthy & vibrant lawn. ..I'll just let the pictures do the talking from here; it's sickening what they've done to this once-beautiful lawn!
