Great pool service! Trudy and Vanessa were very helpful in getting my pool from a disaster to clean and swimmable again. As a bit of context, our pool was left a mess after the last pool service we used became negligent and did very little to maintain our water chemistry this summer. As a result, our pool turned a nice shade of swamp green due an algae bloom and the original pool service again did little to fix the problem they had caused. Though they only do commercial pools, we turned to Trudy and Vanessa who gave us advice and walked us through step by step how to get rid of the algae and return our water not only to a clear appearance but also to chemical balance (which we are now very knowledgeable about) (see before and after pics below). This is the first time in 39 years that I have opened my pool and after adding just a little chlorine, it is the best I have ever seen it! I started working with Vanessa and Trudy at United Fitness Sports and Pools on Western Avenue in Albany last season and their advice, help, and updated inventories have made me a pro! Friendly, family owned business with knowledgeable staff. They do free water testing and give good advice. I go here several times during the pool season and they help me figure out the best course of action for a variety of factors. For instance, if I'm throwing a pool part or going away for vacation. I am confident that I'm not over paying or being sold stuff I don't need. Been going here the last couple years, my pool has never looked better!
