We were very lucky that Joe Azar and his crew were hired to be in charge of the construction of a retaining wall and other work related to a slope failure in our neighborhood. His workers are very careful in handling equipment and work under the most grueling conditions. I feel like Joe has trained his crew to always have safety at the top of mind when tackling a job and this was a behemoth job! Joe also kept his word to finish the part of the project where the sludge and dirt from the slide was removed from our property below. Not only did they dig down (by HAND) all the yucky loamy dirt, but they carefully created the slight slope to make sure that it drained to the street and didn’t pool in the yard. Our HOA hired Unlimited Drilling & Foundation for a large bank stabilization project requiring two retaining walls. We could not be happier with the final product. The scope of the project changed a couple times due to engineering and city requirements and Joe worked with us to minimize the cost impact. Hired Unlimited Drilling and Foundations to remove and replace an existing stabilization wall on one side of our home and to build a retaining wall along the backside to enable us to have a level backyard. As Joe says on his website, you are hiring him and his crew, not subcontractors. Joe stopped by almost everyday to either consult with his crew, deliver materials and equipment and most often, to actually dig in and work. Not only does Unlimited do great work which shows from their finished product, but equally important, Joe Azar and his crew are really great guys who are hard working, intelligent, resourceful, respectful and honest. Wow, these guys were so friendly and helpful. We had concerns about our retaining wall we built 10+ years ago and so spoke with Joe Azar directly. He asked great questions and also requested that we sent out some pics. We did so and I can't believe how helpful he was. He told us exactly what we need to do to reinforce the wall and ensure it will be stable as we finish redoing our backyard. And this all happened in one day. We had a significant mudslide last winter and the repair required building an 80 foot wall across the back of our entire property. I have an office at home and was totally impressed by how hard the workers committed themselves to the job each day. They were all professional, thoughtful and especially grateful for any treats we had for them over the 3 week period. Bottom line, they cut no corners, built an exceptional wall, were great to work with -- and we're very satisfied. They know what they're doing and I highly recommend their work.
