I’ve moved a lot, and this is the best electric company I’ve ever dealt with. Everyone is so pleasant and professional, they seem to be proud to give the best service that they can. Poles & lines are top notch - and they are fast too!

I get a text notification at 11:09am today saying my account has $10.58 available. At 12:46pm same day without any warning they just cut my power off. I go look at my account and it’s -$0.04. There is no way I spent that much in an hour. I mean seriously. The notification system needs addressed. Now I will say I gave an extra star because they cut it back on within a couple minutes of paying but this happens too often when I think I have money on there and then no warning just black out. Can’t be good for my electronics. Be better UCEMC! With all that money surely you can make your notification system operate better. Especially since I have to pay extra to use the app. SMH

My recent interactions with UCEMC were disappointing from start to finish. Wade, Executive Vice President of Member and Community Engagement, showed poor customer service skills—patronizing, unhelpful, and frankly inept with people. The rest of the staff I spoke with seemed unfamiliar with the very policies and procedures they were trying to enforce, which made the entire process confusing and frustrating. On top of that, UCEMC seems to attach a fee to nearly every action including charges that aren’t for actual services, but function like junk fees and deposits designed to make things harder for customers. When I asked why these were enforced I was given some wild and theoretical explanation about everyone defaulting or closing their account at once. It’s worth noting that the linemen a

Please update more frequently on FB or other sites when widespread issues occur. While I am grateful for linemen and their work, those who should be providing updated information are not doing so. Twelve plus hours without power and only one update. If you call to report, it's automated and no updates are available through the portal.

I am so happy to post this review. Last night I watched a group of men overcome about every challenge mother nature could throw their way. Following a super stormy night, we woke up to bitter cold, snow, and power issues. When the utility reps got to us the problem was a transformer that was gnarly to access. Heavy rains left behind soggy ground and mud, the trees and overgrowth, a steep incline, blowing snow, and eventually darkness. A true Murphy's law scenario. Because the bucket truck couldn't be used, these men had to block and tackle a new transformer up the pole and install it. I had a front row seat to the work and whatever compensation they earn, they're worth it. I won't bore you with details, but my gratitude and respect for the work they do is hard to describe as they perform a
