This use to be a great, honest company. Unfortunately it changed ownership. Thought I would still give them a try. Unfortunately it didn't go well. Guy came to service my furnace (the owner) took 15 minutes and did nothing but take pictures of my furnace. Claimed I needed a new furnace....$5000-$10000. Then Claimed the furnace would make it through the winter???? Needless to say, I will be using another HVAC company.

Everett was very professional, thorough and kind. Answered all my questions and provided top knotch customer service! My fireplace looks like new and now works with 1 flip of the switch! I would definitely recommend Valley Mountain Services for all your annual fireplace cleanings and inspections.

ZERO stars Valley Mountain Services / Alaska Fire & Flue – Avoid This Company I hired Valley Mountain Services for a boiler maintenance check. The technician stated the system was operable but reported “small leaks” and suggested that tank replacement could be justified. I requested a repair estimate before scheduling further work. The visit cost $398. Despite paying my invoice on 11/06 and following up on 11/09 and several times afterward, the company never provided an estimate. Each call involved staff struggling to even locate my information, and every time I was told they would “get it to me.” They never did. I’ve been using Valley Mountain Services for nearly ten years for my HVAC service and, since they’re now part of Alaska Fire and Flue, I’m also using them for my wood stove maintenance. My heat was out in my house, I made the call at 7am, and a technician was at my house working on the problem within an hour. Professional, quick, and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend them more if you're on the fence for whom to give your business to.
