VCU West Main Street Parking Deck

VCU spends half the money they overcharge for parking to hire dozens of goons to stand in the road every other night and do nothing. This slows traffic down to a crawl and often makes it impossible to leave. I'm actually amazed they managed to make something as mundane as parking into such a bad experience. Park off campus if you can.

There's more height clearance in the deck than 7ft 6inch so if you can clear the 7ft 6in height check buoy, you're good to park anywhere. My truck is 7ft 5in-ish and when I drove throughout the deck I had about 10in-12in of roof clearance so I didn't have to pause at every I-beam or sprinkler head in fear of scraping. We all know as truck owners that not all parking decks are as tall as they advertise. This one is taller than advertised.

The staff was very courteous. Felt very comfortable parking due to the very well lighted area.

Right across from Altria Theater. Walking distance to many shops and great restaurants
