Vic Art Masonry

I had the opportunity to work with Jim Cox/Vic Art Masonry on two separate occasions. My husband I bought an 100 year old farm house that was an absolute mess with unknown problems. The first was the back side of the house balanced on two stones and no other foundation. He evaluated the situation, hand dug a trench around that portion of the house , jacked up the house and saved us by building a foundation to support that room. The work was quick and perfect, taking great care to preserve the house’s integrity. Our second opportunity was when we built out a second floor and had to raise the chimney above the new roof line. The upfront and clear communication Jim offered during the entire process of my renovation was surpassed only by the exceptional work he and his team created on my old Bexley home. The anxiety I feel when it comes to home repairs is embarrassing, but Jim's humor and genuine love for his craft created such trust. The final product is better than I could have ever expected. Jim is a brilliant craftsman. He has helped me with numerous masonry solutions for my house. He has also done work for my friends and family that includes chimneys and patios. His work is meticulous, detailed and thorough.

I am an architect, so I have pretty high expectations of craft on my projects. We hired Vicart to doing steel lintel replacements in all the ground floor windows oif an apartment building. Jim Cox, the Owner gave us some critical suggestions. The work exceeded my expectations.

I used Vic art masonry to replace two sets of concrete steps that were 90 years old. The removal and replacement were done very well and the finished product really looked like it belonged there. Not easy to do with an older building. They were the low bid and did an excellent job.
