Village HVAC Repair & Maintenance

I have lived in the Village View Houses since its opening in 1964. Recently, I have seen its infratructure and maintenance rap[idly deteriorating. Water systems, elevators, grounds are constantly having problems making living here more and more challenging. And now we are having increases of carrying charges for utilities of 7% per room per month every year for three years. If the increases deo not reflect a change in our living standards there will be major protests from the tenants.

I was offered a two bedroom at the Village View and declined because of the following reasons. Lobby is updated and elevators, but once you step off the elevators you are transported back to the 1960s. The hallways are like the projects, door entrance to apartment has not been change since the 60s. In addition, the apartment was horrendous with old sliding closet doors, outdated cabinets and disgusting tiles. I also spoke to the one and only morning security guard (for 7 buildings) and he said that packages have a tendency of disappearing from the lobby mailboxes. Management told me sorry if your looking for something more updated this isn't it. They were right!

Good job! It’s hard to find good service these days, but they delivered in every way.

Family has lived here for many years. Appartments are reasonably large and designed well. They recently remodeled the elevators and entrance floor and it looks nice.

An affordable coop building if you think living by a Con Edison substation on Ave A between 5th and 6th street isn't a problem for your health.
