Pros: competitive pricing. Overall install looked good. Cons: install took twice as long as originally quoted. The crew lead would say, oh we’re going to finish up tomorrow (I heard that multiple times) but the job ended up taking several more days. Only two guys were on the job some days, for reflooring my entire house. Very slow. I asked Jason to send someone back after install completion to do some minor touch ups. He said he couldn’t do this off photos alone and would have to come out to look at the issues first. We agreed on a Friday mid-day appointment where I was also going to get a quote for replacing tile. He never shows. Never calls back. Unprofessional. In general, Jason is very difficult to reach.
If I could give Vintage Flooring 1,000 stars, I absolutely would! Nathan and his team did an exceptional job installing hardwood floors in my downtown Chicago apartment. Nathan was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, helping me select the perfect wood, connecting me with a vendor for the best price, and ensuring the materials were delivered ahead of schedule. His crew was on time, professional, and meticulous—the installation was flawless, and they finished right on schedule. They even cleaned up everything before they left, leaving my place spotless. I couldn’t have asked for a better contractor to get the job done. If you’re looking for top-tier flooring work with outstanding service, Nathan and Vintage Flooring are the way to go!
I had Vintage Flooring refinish my wood floors about 8 years ago. Fantastic job and I couldn’t have been happier. Fast forward to 2025 when I had an HVAC flood and my floors were ruined, so i didn’t get any other quotes. I went with what I was happy with. When I got a quote before, they weren’t the cheapest, but they weren’t the most expensive either. I picked a time when I was going to be out of town for exactly 2 weeks. I put everything in bins, as much as I could, and put post it notes all over my house to be careful with certain things and notes since I wasn’t going to be here. They were supposed to come over the day before my vacation to move a few things and remove boards to make sure it had 3 days of drying before they continued. I would give zero stars if allowable. It all started with getting a reasonable estimate to sand and refinish roughly 510 square feet of living space in July 2025. Two men from Jayson's crew came out to complete the job. On the first day, Francisco and the other gentleman showed when I was told they were going to show up and sanded the entire floor. The second day, Francisco came by himself and was 2 hours late. On the third day, they didn't even show up at all, even though he informed his boss, Jayson, that he would be coming out. So, instead of the project lasting four days like it was supposed to, floor refinishing took 2 1/2 to 3 days, resulting in a rushed, botched up job. I originally had this company rated at 5 stars but docked it down to 4 due to poor customer service. Realized after their work, I had a broken floor board and reached out to get an estimate or see if I could get this fixed. Expected a quick fix. Jayson got in touch with me, not Nathan, and quoted me a price 10x as much as original quote for one board. I asked why, and he was extremely rude towards me both over text, and on the phone. Yes the company did a nice job on my floors. If you are to work with anyone, however, I recommend only to work with Nathan, he seems very reasonable and understanding and knows customers. I would not ask for Jayson, I think he needs to be kinder to customers. I don't think it's actually that difficult, especially if you are in a field when you need customers
