You hire a company like Violette Silvester & Sons to get important work done the right way. They came recommended to us by a neighbor who had a similar drainage issue decades ago and swore by Violette Silvester’s drainage system all these years later. Bill was great to work with - we had obstacles with our project and he was flexible in how they got the job done, without the crazy upcharge. After 1 year and a number of significant rainfalls, I can confidently say Bill made the right call on how to resolve our issue. I received a number of varying opinions from other professionals and I have now seen first hand how some of these systems would have ended very poorly for us. Violette Silvester & Sons get my highest recommendation!

Bill and his crew replaced the footer drains on one wall of our house and greatly improved the operation of the sump pump back in February. It was very messy work in a closed space; his crew worked very hard and were extremely neat. We've just had about eight inches of rain this week and the basement is as dry as a bone. Needless to say, we are happy! My recommendation is based on this: 1) Bill made the right diagnosis and was clear to let us know what the worst case could be (even though no one wants to hear that). 2) His crew worked extremely hard removing concrete and lots of clayey soil. They were smart to remove the debris through basement window (no hatch) and not bring it through the house. 3) The fix was 'just as much as was necessary'. There was no added BS. Hi, There are no real words to say except Thank You!! Four years ago we put on an addition and had you come in to assess and eventually rebuild our drainage/sump system. After the massive storm on August 7th 2019 the system worked perfectly. We were away at the time and were extremely worried about our finished basement. Taking a “emergency” trip back and arriving back home our basement was perfectly dry. We know that the sump system that you put in worked as it was designed to avoiding any wet surprises.
