Aside from the fact that the "large" or "oversize" vehicle parking is taken by tiny cars or who can't stay in the lines. It isn't horrible. Once you are oriented with the VUMC layout, it becomes easier. It's also generally empty

This is the most poorly conceived parking garage I've ever had the displeasure of trying to navigate. On the second floor around the parking for the children's hospital, traffic goes both ways and pedestrians are crossing in all directions from the parking to The hospital and it just turns into an absolute cluster. It is way too tight in here for traffic to be going both ways. They should have laid it out for traffic to be one way in and out or made it wider so you don't have two dually pickups trying to make the same corner at once without scraping other large vehicles that are hanging out of parking spaces. Absolutely ridiculous. The saving grace is that it's free and conveniently located. I've seen some reviews mention that the valet is free so if I come again I'm trying that.

My senile roommate lost his Ford Excursion here on July 31st, and with the central Vandy security, we were able to locate and recover it yesterday! Happy Halloween!!

If you go to the hospital use the valley parking. We were not aware of it and the long hike from the parking garage was rough on my wife a cancer patient.

Large garage with lots of elevators, stairways, and twists and turns. There is an indoor crosswalk to the children's hospital on the second floor.
