W Vernon Whiteley Plumbing & Heating

After losing heat on a cold Saturday evening a few days before Christmas, I called Whiteley to see if they would come. They advertise 24x7 emergency repair service on their website and trucks. First thing I was told; “It will be $460 just to come to the house”. The second question was, “Are you an existing customer?”, I said “no”. “Well, we won’t be able to come then.” I asked if I could become one simultaneous to the service call and was told no, but I could call back during the week and talk to the office about that and arrange a service call. Ok…and freeze until then? So an update of all your materials with the caveat that 24x7 is only available if you’re a current customer is in order. We have been clients of Whiteley since our house was built almost 20 years ago. They have always provided exemplary customer service with highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals. We recently had an urgent issue and their response time was prompt and they did everything to get our heat back up and running. Each and every employee from the first call to each person who comes to our home truly cares about us as a customer. We are forever grateful and would rely only on Whiteley! Thank you!

Our small business called Whitely with several plumbing issues, the scheduler was reassuring and helpful, a technician was on-site within an hour and everything was fixed by noon. The technician was friendly, courteous and very professional, navigating our old building and hectic work environment with ease and diplomacy. Five stars, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I have never written an on line Review before but I feel compelled to do so now. I have been a customer of Whitely for many years, In the last two weeks I have had a stressful 9 TC experience where I was trying to get Whitely to fix my plumbing issue, When they finally got to it, the plumber did a shoddy job which caused a leak, Luckily for me my Agent (I am a remote owner) found the leak before too much damage was done to my new construction, The owner of the company felt compelled to call me and instead of trying to make it right, blamed me, (I did get very angry one time on the phone after the 9th phone call of trying to make it right). There is a big problem at this company. I have been using them for years for both HVAC and plumbing. I called to ask for repair service for my kitchen sink. They told me it would be over a month before they could send someone, unless it was an “emergency”. I explained that I was a long-term customer and have paid them thousands over the years. I also said I wanted to fix this before it becomes an emergency. They said they would call call me back. When they did, they offered something only a few days earlier than previously offered. Did a bunch of their workers quit? Do they not pay their people enough? Did they over-commit to new building jobs leaving repair customers in the lurch? It is extremely disappointing.
