Washington Square Garage

I attended a show at GEVA on Saturday afternoon and when entered parking garage my friend paid $7 event fee but receipt did not print. As I left, the arm was not up and we had no receipt, so I used my charge card to pay but was charged $20 because we didn't have a ticket ( that would not print out). So we paid $27 for 3.5 hours! I called twice and talked to 2 different people but they would not refund or give me garage credit though their equipment malfunctioned. I won't park thete again!

Worst place to park ever in the city. The staff won't try to help you or understand when you pull over to unload a truck for 15 to 20 minutes. They come up to you with an attitude and tell you that you need to pay $30 dollars, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! You are better off parking across the street, where they treat you with kindness and respect. We do work all over the center city area and never have an issue with parking garages, except this one. All the other garages let us unload our trucks and usually tell us we have 30 mins. Today we took about 25 mins to unload our trucks and had to pay $30. Now I see why some people who live in the building tell us they park across the street because the price is cheaper and no attitude.

Worst customer service rep encountered today Saturday Aug 12th We had reserved parking using park whiz app and when we went to exit at 5:45 pm , the machine would not let us exit saying “pass not valid” ; even though we had parking valid until past midnight Called park whiz and the rep asked I go to gate and press the Help Button. When we did the garage attendant came on he said sometimes 3rd party apps don’t work. I asked him to talk to the park whiz rep who I had on the phone and he said nope and basically hung up saying I have to deal with them He was extremely rude as he just hung up and was not willing to solve the issue. While the price and location were good, the staff was very rude and disrespectful. The QR code wasn’t reading, looked like a malfunction because we’ve seen other costumers complaining as well. So when I went to the staff member, she was very rude and looked annoyed that I was “bothering” her. Then when the QR code was really not working and we were struggling with their machine, this lady procceds to yelling, screaming at me to “JUST GRAB A TICKET”, so I said that I’ve already paid and didn’t want to be charged again. She screamed at me again. So, am I obligated to know how their equipment works??? In this case it wasn’t working properly anyway. I felt horrible and demeaned for no reason!! This parking lot sucks, very dirty and noisy. No elevators for passengers to go up and down, man and car share the same entrance and exist, which is not safe. Most importantly, this parking lot would actually charge you much more than you expected! There was no sign saying it was a reserved spot, so I parked in, and then they charged me $35 for the penalty. You’d better double check at the office to avoid parking on high price spots.
