Weed Man Lawn Care

I've been a Weedman customer for several years across two properties. When we moved from Wallingford to Wethersfield, I expected the same quality service we received at our previous home. Unfortunately, I've been disappointed. Like other large lawn care companies such as TruGreen, Weedman now charges premium prices with minimal discounts while delivering mediocre results. I paid for aeration and overseeding, carefully followed all their instructions, but saw no germination whatsoever. When I called to report the issue, a technician came out, confirmed my concerns, and said they'd "try again in the Spring." This would be conveniently after I renew my annual contract. Paid for two years of “service” with WeedMan of Hartford. Here are my ✨dazzling✨ results. Had a fairly extensive grub problem that took them two years of visits to identify. Paid for aeration, reseeding, and multiple other add on services to try and salvage my lawn but here we are. Last visit the tech apologized for not inspecting my lawn for the entire spring/summer season and said he would be back in two weeks to reinspect after I paid for an additional grub treatment. I am the only one in my neighborhood who tries to have a nice lawn and I am left with THIS dumpster fire result. And worse yet, I PAID a good sum of money for these “results”. Fired these hacks and I hope this review saves you from considering them for your lawn!

We switched to Weed Man(appropriate name given how much your weeds with thrive) this year after having mediocre experiences with other companies. In retrospect I should have stuck with the other options and been more patient. The WM salesman assured me their products were superior and the results would be noticeable even in year 1. He couldn’t have been further from the truth. Our lawn started the season in decent shape, there were small patches of weeds, but overall, not terrible. Now at the end of the season we have a lawn full of weeds and very little actual grass. They undid all the progress we’ve made over the last few years. I decided this year to cancel service with Weed Man, not because I was dissatisfied with them but because I wanted to see what would happen with my lawn without the service. I’ve become less concerned with the look of my lawn. The result was a tremendous amount of weeds that was really unattractive. I called to resume the service and they quickly scheduled a visit. In just a few days the weeds were gone! I’m very happy and impressed!

I recently had problems with chinch bug and weedman followed up with treatment that resolved the issue at no additional cost. I knew i needed to reseed soon, so I also had weedman aerate and reseed my lawn. I watched them do a thorough job and I m looking foward to the results !!!
