Wells Kinzie Parking Garage

One of my favorite photography spot in Chicago. The elevated platform and the S curve is such a winning combo. Bring a tripod and wide angle lens. Different floor has different perspective so make sure to explore floors and see which angle you like the best.

Great spot for photography. Its that famous S curve you might see on Instagram and such. The higher the floor, the more of the curve you can see. Bring a tripod at dusk/night and you can get some awesome trails and movement in the train. If you havent been here and like photography, I highly recommend it. One of my favorite spots.

As for a parking garage.. I'm sure it's great. You know... You park your car here. As a photographer though, this is a great spot to come to if you want to take a picture of the train and capture a bit of that Chicago flavor in your street photography. If you go up on the 6th or 7th floor you can catch a train coming by on a curvy track!

Another great tip I found on Google was the Wells Kinzie garage. It's literally just a big parking garage but if you go to the 7th floor and look out, you get a beautiful view of their trains in an S curve in between the buildings. It looks like something out of a movie. It's a popular spot, according to the really nice security guard that works there and helped show us the best spots to view the trains at as they came and went. It's really a gem find and you don't have to to trespass to find such a nice view for the gram.

Wonderful spot to take photos of the 'L'. Go to the 7th (top) floor and shoot west. Great S curve!
