West Haven Public Works Department

Due to a medical issue and for the first time in 23 years, I was not able to clear my driveway in one day - the biggest storm in years. I was about halfway and was slowed down by four inches of ice dumped by the city plows. This morning my entire driveway and sidewalk is filled two feet with chunks of ice and I can see tire marks where the city plow deliberately curved into my driveway. Unacceptable in 2026. Homeowners are obligated to keep their driveways clear for emergencies. And city plows are allowed to be lazy and sloppy when they plow the streets?

IF YOUR IDEA OF A GOOD TIME IS IS POPPING TIRES AND THROWING YOUR CARS ALIGNMENTS OUT OF WHACK AS WELL AS OTHER MULTIPLE WAYS TO DAMAGE YOUR $80,000 VEHICLE FROM DRIVING THRU CRATERS AND MAN HOLE CONVERS THAT ARE RECESSED AS MUCH AS 5" DEEP THEN YOUR IN LUCK!!!! OUT OF ALL THE TOWNS I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE TO DRIVE IN I CAN SAY WITH UTMOST HONESTY WEST HAVEN IS THE WORST!!!! NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT AN AREA OF THE SHORE SMELLS LIKE A PORT O POTTY, I WAS ABLE TO LOOK PAST THAT BY TAKING ANOTHER ROUTE.... UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVE POT HOLE FREE ROUTES IN THIS TOWN AND IT DOES NOT MATTER THE SEASON SPRING SUMMER WINTER FALL EACH SEASON YOU CALL AND COMPLAIN THEY GIVE YOU AN EXCUSE AS TO WHY IT'S SO BAD AT THIS TIME. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SP

Returning from Beach was a dead skunk on side of Campbell Ave. There for days. Always call Public Works in town of ppl. So disturbing when I see any dead animal. They answered fast & said they'd take care of it. Thank U

Best place to have lunch ever! Immaculate, great staff, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. My favorite and first choice for dining out.

I called to ask a question and the lady on the phone was incredibly (and unnecessarily, might i add) rude and short with me.
