Western Idaho Cabinets

I'll give 3 stars, at best. Western used to be an awesome company - I've done several kitchens with them. While there have almost always been problems, they used to be very good at service and responsive solutions. My most recent kitchen has been the worst in terms of both quality and service. They try hard and mean well, but I can't recommend them anymore and I wouldn't do another kitchen with them. It just hasn't been worth the stress, the hassle, the amount of time and energy I've had to put into following up multiple times to get a problem resolved. I would never hear the end of this if I had used them for a client or referred them to a friend or client, so I will save myself from that. My problems remain unresolved and at this point, I am writing it off as a bit of a loss and moving

We stopped in to look at cabinet doors stain samples as we are doing a project in another state, with a different cabinet company. We are at the point of picking out stain colors and wanted to see actual samples. Ashley was extremely helpful. She guided us through their showroom and made sure we had samples of stained wood before leaving. The reason I say she excellent is that she took the time to help even though she knew we were not going to be customers. Western Idaho Cabinets will be the first company I call when we redo our kitchen cabinets in Boise. Thanks Ashley.

RUN from this place! They lie about special ordering your cabinets and then drop off extras from the back warehouse. I had my cabinets delivered, some of which weren’t wrapped and placed in my garage. An hour later another truck shows up to deliver my cabinets. I told them they had just been delivered and the guy checks his truck only to find it empty. They sent out their ‘tile guy’ who did such a terrible job it had to be redone again. Third time our Insurance sent out someone else who was actually a ‘tile guy’ and when asked who did the job the last time, he laughed and said he knew him from previous jobs and he didn’t know the first thing about tile work. After they installed the cabinets and put the microwave back in, we noticed the wall in the other room was warm to the touch. Idiots

Expect extremely poor quality. Warranty follow up will happen as long as the fix is quick, easy, and cheap to them. In a custom made hamper they taped the face of the cabinet on and since it’s out of warranty refuse to correct the problem of it falling off, unless I hire them to fix it. I can’t stress enough how low quality everything is and how much regret we have for using them and trusting our builder that recommended them. Avoid at any cost. You won’t get what you pay for.

We built in 2018 and our builder used Western Idaho Cabinets for our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. DO NOT get white painted cabinets from them. The paint was chipping within a year, some have drip spots or are painted uneven and they installed the hardware lopsided on my cabinets (they did come back and fix this but it is ridiculous to me that they would have considered that acceptable in the first place). In the end, they left us with a partially used can of touch up paint. At the time, I thought that wound be sufficient - it is just me and my husband, no children, we are not hard on our things, this would be great.
