Westlawn Garage - Los Angeles Library Parking

The valet assistant in the garage was extremely rude yelling at us to give him the “blue paper” as soon as we got the keys. We had no blue paper and it turned out the man we gave the keys too had placed it inside the car himself because when we gave him the keys he only said thankyou have a great day. Therefore, we knew nothing about the blue paper on the dash until we walked over to the front of the car, after already being yelled at and treated as idiots. And then as the cherry on top, the man started insulting us in a language he didn’t think we spoke, or maybe he did and that makes it worse. Decent parking garage except for that rude attendant, max is 40$ now and parking is ONLY validated by the library if you have a card.

If you are here for US Citizenship CEREMONY, DO NOT PARK HERE BEFORE 10AM. We got here 9:29, fine I got here early because the appointment is at 10:05. So 31 min before library open. You would think that they would valid for the remaining 2 hours. Nope that's not how it works. They only valid starting at 10AM, not a min early. I ended up paying 35 dollars, blame me for not reading the fine print. Anyway, if you are a bit later for your ceremony, no worries, everyone was waiting outside before 10AM and it doesn't start til later. So do take your time before you enter the garage at 10AM. Guess that's how they make their money, to bet on people not reading the policy

$1 library parking in the afternoon?! Unbeatable. Gotta have your library card and get it Validated.

Great place to park if your going to the OUE SKYSLIDE, it’s a 3 minute walk. I came on a Sunday, I only paid $8 and I was parked there for several hours and the parking spots were longer than typical lots. No issues whatsoever.

Very friendly and helpful. They have some spots for taller vehicles (6'-8") which is rare downtown. Let them know you have a tall vehicle and they will help you out (it is not obvious)
