I purchased a $1,133 Moen shower unit to update my new walk-in shower on Thursday. The plumber that I hired to install it came Friday with his own Delta unit and told me to return it. On Saturday, I went to return it. Everything was going fine until a man, who obviously was the owner, shot himself across the Show Room and angrily told me in a very loud voice that I had to pay a "10% restocking fee!" What was more shocking was the fact that even the look on the employees overhearing the comments seemed to be confused on this "10% restocking fee." The whole store went into complete silence! Even the customers present! It should be noted that all the items were intact with no damage to them and in original boxes. This was not a "special order." I recently found myself needing a new toilet for a very small bathroom. My first stop was a couple of big box stores, but I was left feeling frustrated. There was nobody available to help, and once I finally found an employee, they could only provide very general information. Handicapp accesibke easy parking etc. I'm 2nd generation General Contractor and currently running the company. We have HAPPILY been sourcing ALL of our plumbing needs though white's EXCLUSIVELY for 40 years, no questions asked. And not a single complaint to be had. Side note. Anyone who has built a home or worse, done a home renovation, has their share of nightmares to tell. My home was built in the same year I was born. As we both approached 50, I decided a mutual mid life crisis (a.k.a. gut job) was in order. Just about everything that could go wrong went wrong with the exception of my White's Plumbing experience. Jason White listened to what we needed, came up with high quality product solutions, & treated us fairly both from a price and time perspective. He was even kind enough to stop by our project and offer a couple of product solutions that had us puzzled. It was truly a pleasure doing business with this multi generational family owned business. P.S. I never write reviews, so that in itself should tell you something!
