Whitney Construction has done a complete renovation of our kitchen, 10 years ago, and 1 year ago renovated two bathrooms. He is more than a contractor! He provides design ideas and gives you options that allow you to work within your budget; he manages every detail from beginning to end. He gives you a start and an end of construction date and in both of our projects he delivered on time and to our extreme satisfaction. Either Rich himself or his site manager came every day to open up the work space and close it down. I bought a house that was built in 1974 and needed a complete remodel. I started with the entire downstairs including a big kitchen remodel, and knocking out walls. I couldn't have been more impressed with Rich's design ideas and suggestions, as well as his help with working through my decisions for every aspect of the job. His years of experience of doing this definitely showed. He always gave me pro's and cons to everything and I loved his advice on "function or fashion" - what do you want. It allowed me to make the decisions that were right for my family. Rich and his team did an amazing job renovating our kitchen, laundry and bath. They communicated daily, kept the house and outside clean, and finished up on time and on budget. We look forward to working with them on future projects!

If you LOVE your home and want high quality long lasting work- DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR. He is arrogant & rude; does not communicate effectively with the homeowners; does not oversee his subs; and the results are SUB PAR. He advertises as a custom high quality builder; STEER CLEAR- HE IS NOT. We renovated a master bathroom, laundry room, guest bathroom, and a small kitchenette in a garage apartment. I have a 2 page list of the mistakes that were made. And they were not minor. The contractor did not review our spec sheets (nor did his subs) and we ended up with incorrect shower plumb-ins, incorrectly measured cabinets (took hours and over a month to get right; and I still have scratches on the brand new mirrors), incorrectly cut slab for the kitchenette; and the worst shower tile grouti
