Window Installation by The Home Depot

I went to Home Depot for a small remodeling project. I wanted to replace my front door. They had me pay a deposit and told me a third party contractor would be doing the work. They sent someone out to take measurements and assess my current door set up to see about the job. I showed that person what I was interested in and when they approved that it would work with my home’s structure etc, I went ahead and authorized the purchase. (Approx $2k) The order got lost in translation and nearly a month later I get a call saying that Home Depot received my door but that it was incorrect. TURNS OUT… The person they sent out clearly didn’t know what they were doing because the door I had selected wouldn’t fit in my space. I doubled checked with them before ordering. It was a total waste of my time

The worst experience. No communication. Took over three month and I had to call to schedule install. Not the doors I ordered, not the doorframe. Home Depot did a previous install of one door. The came out to measure the additional four doors. I told them I wanted the same. The door was white, the doors they installed are cream and all banged up, one with a huge gouge in it. So now I have to pay for repairs and paint. Take your business elsewhere.
