Top notch conservation studio! Works on Paper provides high quality paper conservation services, while also being flexible, affordable, and very friendly. Carolyn is very thorough in her explanation of options for treatments, and I've learned so much from her. I've used their services for many years on a variety of projects and could not recommend them more.

Works on Paper is my go-to for any paper-based materials that warrant item-level conservation! Carolyn is happy to simply stabilize and create a better housing for an item (in one case, a cemetery map on a large piece of brown paper) if you don't want a full conservation treatment. That said, her rates are reasonable and her estimates provide a helpful array of possible treatment options to suit different budgets.

An unfortunate experience that ended a would-be long-term partnership. As a small business owner in Vermont, this isn't a review I have been looking forward to leaving. Our experience was so overwhelmingly negative, however, that it needs to be shared, especially as we were exceptionally hopeful that this would be the first of many positive interactions in perpetuity. We own a fine and rare bookshop and had two pieces that needed fairly straight-forward paper restoration.
