Yolo Plumbing is the best. They are knowledgable, competent, do an excellent job, and clean up after themselves. They are the only plumbers that we will use. We have used them a number of times, including recently replacing our entire sewer line and unplugging a very difficult blockage. Our house is over 100 years old, but the "old" plumbing is not a problem to them. Last year Yolo Plumbing put in over 70 feet of new outside sewer line after our 100 year old sewer line collapsed, and did an excellent job. I own and manage a 12 Unit Apartment Building on Ninth Street in Davis, CA. I have used Yolo Plumbing exclusively for the last 5-6 years. They put in a 100 gallon water heater 4 years ago and have repaired it once under warranty. You can imagine the chaos when there is no hot water for 12 separate tenants who have to get to school or work. They stand by their work and their bills are reasonable. Their owner Joe Weins actually did the water heater installation HIMSELF. I usually deal with Alan Mann who returns all calls promptly and is very experienced in the plumbing trade. I called Yolo Plumbing on a recommendation and boy was I sorry. He told me on the phone he charged $520 an hour but I thought I heard him wrong. Turns out he charges $65 per 15 minutes with a one hour minimum so your minimum cost for him to come out is $260. In my case he said he had experience with Navien tankless water heaters but came out without the special tools required for the job, spent the first hour on the phone trying to talk Navien into giving him paid support for the unit for free, then the next hour googling the error code. Eventually he vacuumed out my intake and left without fixing anything, then sent me a bill 6 months later for $520 (see attached) after I had paid an actually qualified Navien tech $99 to fix the problem 5 months ago. It is always a pleasure to do business with Yolo Plumbing. Bill and his apprentice Luke came out today to repair two toilets that were running constantly. They repaired the toilets and also took care of a couple handles on a sink and shower that were loose. Very efficient, courteous, and friendly. Service was arranged very quickly from the office and they set up an appointment for the same day that I called. Bill and Luke arrived exactly on schedule that same afternoon! Thanks so much.
