1850 M Street NW LAZ Parking Garage

This parking garage is horrific! Please DO NOT park here unless you work in the professional building attached. The parking lot had a VERY small sign on the wall that shows it’s hours outside of the entrance. It is purely disguised, small font and in a place most people wouldn’t see. If you take the elevator you will exit through the attached building and there is no sign regarding parking inside the building. The lot closes at 10pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sunday, the emergency contact number is useless and no one actually helps you retrieve your car until Monday! Do not park here, this lot is the biggest scam if I’ve ever seen one!

In the past, there have been attendants when needed. Today, there weren't. When I pulled in, the available spots on C1 and C2 were taken, tandem (meaning you give the key to an attendant - no attendants were around...), OR reserved. C1 and C2 are the only levels with elevators. There is a sign that says you MUST take stairs to C2 if you park on C3. If you can't use the stairs, give your keys to an attendant. There. Was. No. Attendant. I have a sprained ankle and chronic lung issues. I had to take the stairs on an already painful ankle. When I got to C2, the door to the elevator lobby was sticking. If you aren't going to have spots available to people on elevator levels that aren't reserved...then have an attendant available for those of us who should not use the stairs. This is

This was the worst parking experience I've had. The lot was closed on Memorial Day, but there were no signs or anything indicating that it would be closed. We and 5 other groups of people had to call to get someone to open the gate so we could get our cars. When they finally arrived about 2 hours later, the person locked us INSIDE the garage. Another group that had parked there had to get out and open the gate from inside. This was so ridiculous and just unacceptable. Everyone was understanding up until the guy locked us in the parking lot and left. DO NOT USE THIS LOT.

Why bother having a public parking lot that traps you're car after 11! It's ridiculous, either have it private only or let people get their cars out. For Christs sake you are right in Dupont Circle!!!

They do not warn you that they close at 10pm. So a very expensive trip home and another back in the morning to retrieve the car.
