2021 K Street NW Parking

Awful, cramped, doubled parked spots...garage closes at 7pm so if you arrive at 7:15 they will extort you for an additional $26.25 to open the garage including taking a picture of your phone as "evidence" you paid before opening the garage so you have the privilege of paying $23 for the day of parking. Another gentleman was waiting with me so they cleared a solid $98.50 between us.

I am a single mother of 3 that has to frequent this building for my children's doctor's office, 1 of which has 2 non curable diagnoses and every time I come to this lot the people are beyond rude and unattentive. My visit on the 28th I was told to turn left into a spot that was around a pole which you could not see the metal box or strip of metal spikes on the inside of the pole so my car got scrapped bad and my tire popped. Not only was I told I needed to watch what I am doing they attempted to charge me for AAA'S parking. They refuse to offer any compensation for all the damage. Something really needs to be done!!! I have photos....

Terrible parking garage. I have been to some bad ones but this one takes the cake. If you need to go to this building my advice would be to park somewhere else. The service is rude and the garage itself is not big enough to allow two cars to pass, making it impossible to actually leave. Last time the machine was faulty and would not take any credit cards. As I did not have cash he refused to let me leave.... same thing happened to someone else in front of me and the 15 (!!) minute delay caused my parking fee to go up from $15 to $22. Of course, there was no way I was going to get a refund for the $7 I paid due to their faulty system. Avoid!!

BEWARE: This is a "stacked parking" garage, meaning you will be asked at the last minute to leave your car key with someone, which is something not made clear prior to entry and parking. Effectively you do all the work and take all the risk navigating a very narrow four-level access without the benefit of a valet parking. I don't think I'll park here again, and would rather walk over from the PMI garage at 919 18th st, which is a stacked parking but with an actual valet service.

Very very tight parking garage, and all public spots are stacked (leave key with the probably overworked and stressed attendant). It is very difficult to even have two-way traffic in the garage. Pre-pandemic, this was a valet-only garage, which should give you an idea of how difficult it is to navigate. High rates even for K Street.
