They were called to come into my grandmas basement and try to find out why there was standing water on the ground. My grandma hardly ever goes into the basement so we do not know how long this has been happening. A and R was called out to figure out where the leak was coming from. (Let me remind you this is literal puddles of water) they charged her 180 dollars to caulk the bottom of the main floor toilet and recommend a tile/grout person. I thought this was a little outrageous but my grandma is older and not up to date with how much stuff costs. I figured ok maybe they were right they are professionals and I did not think about it. Nothing against the actual guys doing the work. This is really just a reflection of the business itself. Replacing 4 shutoff valves and what was supposed to be tightening a sink drain turned into a $773 bill. I also had them look at the kitchen faucet (which I had someone else install.) The cold line was pinched so the cold water was a trickle. They told me the faucet was bad so I ordered another one and had them back out since I was told I wouldn't be charged another service call fee. Again the worker that came out was very nice but it took him exactly 35 minutes to replace the faucet. But now rather than hourly they flat fee a faucet install for $240. The work was fine but watch out for the overcharging. It was ridiculous.

They were great and responsive when I had a failed water heater, they came out the next business day and got my old one out and the new one installed in April. There is a leaking / failed union on the hot water side, I called in October and didn't get a response so I called and sent pictures in November and didn't get a response, my third call they said they would check in to the warranty and get back to me and set up a service call. I never received a call back, I called them and was told the part would be covered but I have to pay for the labor. I am in the service industry and understand sometimes you get a bad part, but this is an install error not a failed part. It was not properly tightened/ sealed and not normal wear. I woke up on a Sunday morning to a partially flooded basement because of a broken water heater. I called A and R and one of the owners (Adam) answered my call and was very informative even though they were closed. After calling a couple other places I called them back. I proceeded to call Adam several more times that day and they answered all my questions and helped me save some labor cost. Then on Monday morning the new water heater was replaced right away! Very efficient and quick.

I came home to an unexpected water leak on a Saturday morning. A&R was the only plumber to respond and send their plumbers within an hour, on a weekend! Great service and price, I will definitely use them again.
