Mike and Kevin were great to work with. I had a terrible experience with a previous deck builder and Mike and Kevin made sure that I would have nothing less than a great experience with them. From the start Mike knew the building products really well, had good ideas and was very communicative. Once the work started Kevin took over and built our dream deck. He was great to explain things when I had questions and was wonderful to work with. I really liked how he took the time to do things right and not just band aid things and hope I wouldn't notice. I don't feel like any corners were cut and am completely happy. I'd recommend that anyone looking for a deck go with these guys. These guys do it right!

After searching and gathering estimates from multiple contractors for over a year, we made one final attempt and hit the jackpot with AA Defined Exteriors! Michael is an easy going and honest professional with a genuine desire to provide top notch customer service and products. His price was very competitive and the quality of work outstanding. They renovated a front porch and a second story deck with no stairs just beautifully, using high-end Azek Vintage decking (it was quite a workout on the ladder). I had them tear down and replace a second story deck that was only 15 years old, but in terrible shape due to less than stellar build quality. Mike was excellent to work with, and accommodated my requests to change things even after work had begun. The build quality of my new deck is light years ahead of my old one. What impressed me most, however, was the attention to detail. Little things like aligning the screw locations means that the big were done to the same exacting standard.

Very pleased with the high quality of their work. Michael came to our house several times and we appreciated that he brought samples of many types of wood. Their prices were good and they got the job done quickly. Highly recommend!
