Absolute Chimney

I hired this company solely to inspect the upstairs and downstairs fireplaces in my home. I did not authorize or request any additional evaluations of stonework, kitchen areas, or appliances, nor was I informed that the scope of work would expand or that the total would reach $1,640. Only after receiving the report did I realize I had been charged for services I never requested or approved. I have since confirmed with multiple professionals that a standard fireplace inspection typically costs a fraction of what I was billed. The pricing was far beyond reasonable market rates, and there was no transparency or consent regarding the added charges. If I could leave a ZERO star I 100% would. This company WILL STEAL your deposit and never come out to do your work. They are extremely unprofessional. They rescheduled and would never showed up to our house to do any work. We would call to see if they were coming and they would just be “leaving to come to our house” after we waited and moved our entire schedule around for events and work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK AT YOUR HOUSE.

Incredibly unprofessional! In spite of numerous communications (verbal and text) and hours of wasted time waiting, Rob never showed up, or even had the courtesy to cancel the appointment. If the quality of his work is equal to the quality of his communication skill, I’m glad he never set foot in my home.

I wouldn’t recommend. Save yourself the trouble of the poor communication, poor cleaning, and poor results. Rob of Absolute Chimney did not fix my pellet stove after 3 visits and hundreds of dollars of payments. After his last “repair”, it still fills my home with smoke and is dangerous for me, my kids and pets, which is why I hired him. He leaves the home a mess (see pic) and does not come prepared with a shop vac or supplies. In the last visit, I unwisely let him use my home vacuum when he asked, covering it inside and out with black soot, breaking the machine, which needed to then be replaced at my cost. He walked all through my house covered in soot, it was hours of clean up afterwards, heartbreaking especially when the fireplace still doesn’t even work. Doesn’t return phone calls and

Desperate for me to book an appointment. 1st red flag. Then repeat calling while I was on an important call. 2nd red flag. No response when I texted and called back. 3rd red flag and 4th red flag. No show, no call, no response then about 10 hours later (11pm) an apology for a tire blown off but no response after. So overall DO NOT USE. UNRELIABLE, UNRESPONSIVE, DESPERATE, & obviously in it to screw people over
