Storm knocked out power and when it came back the AC wouldn’t start at all. Thought lightning fried something expensive. Called ChillFactor for AC repairs Aventura and they came out first thing next morning. Diagnosed a blown control board fuse and surge damage to the transformer. Replaced both affordably and installed whole-house surge protection so it doesn’t happen again. System runs better than before and I have peace of mind now. I was excited about this company from reading the reviews. They came, showed me the problem and so I decided to get the AC replaced by them. However after the installation of the A/C part that goes outside there was a short circuit two days after their work was done. They wanted to charge me 250 to come fix it, I didnt feel I had a choice given that the a/c I just paid for was not working and there were burnt cables outside, to be fair when I requested the invoice it did not come. . Now that would have been the end of it if when I went to register the unit inside I wouldnt have recieved a notice from the company that makes the unit inside, that the warranty could not be registered because the unit has been used as a replacement before.
