Advance Landscape Center, Sod, Mulch & Topsoil

I needed some sod and read reviews. Overall not bad but I saw some negatives about the owner Frank. I decided buy there and when I arrive the guy behind the counter told me they were out of sod. I said I should have called 1st and was going to leave but the guy said his driver would be there soon with a fresh load of sod. He called the driver to confirm it would arrive in 10 to 15 min. While waiting I had a real nice chat with the counter guy. When the sod arrived he brought the pallet up to my vehicle for easier loading. At that point I asked if he was the owner Frank and he said he was. I can't say the other reviews were wrong but I found Frank to be a really nice guy to deal with. I'll certainly return if I need something he carries.

Amazing! After 4 other places did not call me back or show up for an estimate, Frank, the owner came the day after I called. My yard was transformed into a beautiful space within 2 weeks. Very thankful for the work done, and the clean up was awesome; I couldn't even tell the team was there. Much appreciation to Frank and his staff!!

I waited a few months before writing this review to see if my experience with Frank at Advance Landscape was just “how they all are,” but after finding someone else much more polite and professional, I feel compelled to share. Frank did show up for the estimate, but when I asked about pricing for different options (A vs. B depending on cost), his response was, “well, if you don’t know what you want you’re just wasting people’s time.” Not only dismissive, but downright rude. Then, as we were talking, a Hispanic father in an older white truck parked near my home (across from an elementary school) to wait for his child. Frank’s comment? “Oh geez, you call this guy too.” No, sir, I did not, and frankly, that assumption was offensive, unprofessional, and a little bit racist. His estimate was

I run a small landscaping company on the North Shore. I was doing a job when I saw the Advance Landscape dump truck delivering stone a few houses away. I have been having trouble finding a reliable and affordable company that delivers topsoil and mulch. I spoke with the driver and asked if they would provide service to Glendale, which they said they would. The driver then went above and beyond, walking a few houses over to confirm the amount of topsoil I would need. I set up the delivery for the next day on the spot, and while talking, I was surprised to find that I was dealing with Frank, the owner, who is a super nice guy. Delivery was made the next day, and the driver was able to dump it in an area that required some skill, saving us hours of labor on the job. I will be using Advance L

Excellent Quality. Great Customer Service. Delivery driver Edwin went over and beyond with unloading staging. 1st Time visit. Will be back for more Mulch.
