I initially used Affordable closets 14 years ago for all my closets and window blinds in a home I had purchased. My closets are basic but still in perfect condition with no issues. The white wood window blinds were fine too but recently I decided to upgrade to plantation shutters on all the windows and sliding glass door. I called Steve Booth the owner of Affordable Closets because of my positive experience previously. The plantation shutters are attractive and the workmanship and service were top notch. We have recently moved to a condo in Avon, CT. We had Affordable Closets come and retrofit all our closets and install plantation shutters on all our windows and two large slider doors that enter to our large deck. We must say Steve is excellent. He came ordered the materials and the install was great! We love everything!!! We had some minor adjustments that needed to be made as the plantation shutter treatments settled. The true test of a good organization isn’t the sale it’s the service after the job is completed. When we call Steve he and his crew are here to address whatever our need is. Talk about standing behind your work! Steve designed and installed a beautiful closet system in my dressing room in 2010. A month ago, out of the blue, one of the support beams broke, and one wall of the system collapsed. I made one call to Steve, not know what to expect 10 years after installation. At the least I wanted a price on what it would take to repair/replace the unit. WIthout hesitation, Steve said he would replace the entire wall. This required ordering the boards in the right color, and making a couple of trips to see what was needed and do the installation.
